Travel Dates!!!!
We are leaving for China on the 24th of October and returning on the 7th of November. It is so exciting and a bit unreal. We are busy with our preparations: painting children's rooms, going through baby clothes and trying to organize the two weeks I am away. Iwill miss Isabel's Birthday and Halloween. We are also concerned about the formula scandal in China. Lily's orphanage was using one of the brands on the list, but we found out yesterday that she had an ultrasound on Friday and her kidneys are OK. There are some sick people in this world. Anyway, on a happy note, we are fine and getting ready for the new addition to our family. Great week to everyone.

The countdown to Lily in on....
We had a very busy and fun week. After getting our referrral on Tuesday, we had to return to Halifax on Thursday night to sign the final papers and start getting ready with our travel plans. We are tentatively leaving on the 25th of October. That is 6 weeks away!!! I need to get busy and dig out my baby things. I also sent a package to Lily today, with a blanket, doll, pictures of her new family and a disposable camera. Hopefuly the caregivers will take some pics of her at the orphanage. We are really looking forward to having her home. Take care everyone.

Introducing LiIy Yan Ti MacDonald!!!!
We just arrived from an incredible day in Halifax. Here is our new daughter. Her chinese name is Lin Yan Ti. Lin is after her place of birth and Yan Ti means 'beautiful jade'. Lily's medical report looks wonderful, she is healthy and has normal growth and development. She is a deep sleeper and is very attached to her caregiver. Yah!!! She likes to listen to children's music and loves to play with toys such as ringing bells and dolls. The orphanage described Lily as a very active and lovely girl. We cannot wait to go get her. The kids are so excited about their little sister. Here are the pictures we received. We are looking forward to getting a smile out of those adorable chubby cheeks!!!

The stork called!!!
Linda called us today at 3:11 to tell us that our little girl is in an orphanage in Hunan province. She was born on January 22nd, 2008. We will be receiving her referral in the next week (with pictures that I will post) and Paula and I will travel around the beginning of November. We are on cloud nine and can't wait to see her and find out more about her life in China. I have included a picture of her orphanage called Linxiang. I hope and pray that there is alot of love within those walls. I now that there is an endless supply waiting for her when she gets home. Have a great weekend and we'll update you soon.

We are very excited and happy and now I don't have to jump out of my skin everytime the phone rings!!! Hopefully, we will soon be posting pictures of our new daughter. Hope everyone is having a good back to school week.
